Hello and welcome to my monthly overview of May! While it’s been a rather crappy month health-wise, it has been a pretty good bookish month. I kicked my TBR’s arse as I’ve read every single book on my May TBR except one for a tour that I haven’t received yet, I read some excellent books and I got through quite a few NetGalley ARCs, as a matter of fact: my current ratio is 79%! Moreover, I’ve been really strict about accepting review and blog tour invitations, only accepting those I’m desperate to read (hellooooo The Chain!) and I’m actually feeling pretty good about that. But enough with the chitchat, here are this month’s lists:
What I read (full novels):
The Chain, Adrian McKinty (review on the tour in July)
After The End, Clare Mackintosh (review to follow)

This month I re-shared my review of The Dangerous Kind, I waited on Wednesday with Mark Edwards’ Here To Stay, I shared Fink’s Looking Too Closely on Monday and I had a little Q&A with Laurence Westwood.
And the award for Book of Month goes to…

I’ve been obsessed with this book this month AND I had a Q&A with its author Laurence Westwood AND I organised a giveaway for two paperback copies, courtesy of Laurence. How could this not be my book of the month?! By the way, said giveaway will close on 10 June, so if you want to enter, there’s still time!
Hope you’ve had a good one and here’s to a whole new month of happy reading!
Gosh! Thanks, Kelly – what an honour! I was just happy to get a review from the Continental Queen of Crime herself! I hope Caramel didn’t object to this decision….
? He’s still not impressed but what does he know ?
Great reading month, Kelly! You have reviewed some fascinating books. Hope you have a good June and that you feel better health-wise. ☺

You too Jules ?
Love the kitty cat pic! You’ve had an amazing month, Kelly!
Thanks, he was decidedly unimpressed with the book, in a “we’d both be better off if you’d pet me instead of reading that thing” but I love him and his blue eyes anyway ??
Stunning reading month!
Not too shabby ?
Looks like you had a fantastic bookish month! That copy of The Willow Woman is looking mighty fine by the way. 😉 Here’s to June bringing you more fantastic books. xx
