My Bookish Month of October 2024

Hi and welcome to another monthly overview!

October has gone and what a fab month it was! Despite fatigue (probably carried over from an exhausting September), I had a really great month. We had some lovely days that started out with a nip in the air but turned balmy later in the day, and I was able to garden and even read outside.

The kittens are well, here they are recovering from an extensive play session:

Bookishwise, October was brilliant. I had been offered two months of Kindle Unlimited for 99p late August, so I was still taking full advantage in October, reading and listening as much as possible. I was in full spooktober mode, I read lots of horror and witchy novels on KU and Everand and I also found loads of great horror graphic novels on KU. Unfortunately, this also implies I only read a few of my own books (while I did not stop buying books, like at all 😬), so my goal for the last couple of months of the year is definitely to read more of my own books. And I received quite a few digital review copies I’m dying to read as well.

Shout-out to Nicki at the Secret Library Book Blog for convincing me I needed to listen to the DS Walker series by Patricia Wolf. A fantastic series, a great narrator, I had a ball! Thanks Nicki!
