Hi and welcome to another monthly overview!
Much like April, most of May was rather uneventful. Then I caught covid again and then our cat Cappuccino was hit by a car. Fortunately, he got off mostly scot-free and he’s doing fine now, but he gave us quite a scare. May ended with a family gathering that left me entirely drained and in need of a week off work. I wish I was kidding.
Book-wise, May was an excellent month! In numbers, it was my second best month this year and in terms of reading enjoyment, it was fantastic as well, with only a few blips along the way. I especially enjoyed my Kindle Unlimited subscription. As I said last month: I’m always extra motivated to read a lot when I have a KU subscription and I’ve been reading my way through the KU list I’d been adding to since my last trial period.

Family gatherings are exhausting at the best of times, and what with covid and worrying about Cappuccino, this was not the best of times at all 😅 I’m at work (on my lunch break) right now 😭😂
I’m glad your bookish May was good at least! How terrifying about Cappuccino though; I lost one of my cats to a car years back so I’m glad he is ok. xx
Thanks lovely, I just hope he’s learned his lesson and will stay away from the street from now on! Losing a furry friend is always terrible, but losing them in such a violent manner must be absolutely horrific.
I’m so happy Cappuccino is fine! I think he’ll have learned his lesson and I’m sure you gave him a stern talking to! It looks like you read and added a lot of books in May. Great deals as well. The Serial Killer Support Group reminds me of Psychopaths Anonymous. I hope it’s a bit different though. Wishing you the best for June!
Yes, for now at least, it would seem he’s learned his lesson. Here’s hoping it stays that way 🤞🏻 I haven’t it read yet, but I did read another book with the same title, and that was vastly different. Happy June reading, Inge x
