Waiting on Wednesday with Yvo (It’s All About Books) @yvo_about_books @OrendaBooks #Orentober

Hi and welcome to Waiting on Wednesday! Originally hosted at Breaking the Spine, Waiting on Wednesday has now linked up with Can’t Wait Wednesday at Wishful Endings.

Since it’s still #Orentober and you’re probably getting tired of hearing me yapping all the time, I thought it would be fun to ask a few other Orenda fans what their most anticipated Orenda books are! (Also, I’m a nosy Parker so I’m dying to know which Orenda book people are desperate to get their hands on 😬)

First up: my lovely blogger friend Yvo(nne), all the way from Argentina! Yvo blogs at It’s All About Books, do check out her blog if you haven’t already, and like me she has fallen in love with Orenda Books and many Orenda authors. But which is the upcoming novel she is dying to read??? Here is what she has to say:

When Kelly asked me if there was an Orenda book I was desperate to get my hands on, there was one title that popped up in my mind immediately: I Am Dust by Louise Beech. Although I admit I’m late when it comes to discovering her books, it was Call Me Star Girl earlier this year that made me add her to my list of absolute favorite authors immediately. Why, would you ask? These snippets of my review below give a pretty good impression of my first experience reading Louise Beech. 
“It doesn’t happen often that a book is able to provoke reactions this strong, but Stella’s story is one of them. The writing style is absolutely wonderful of course, but it is the characters who steal the show in Call Me Star Girl. Louise Beech should receive an award for being able to create such fascinating characters that are both flawed, strong and essentially unlikeable, but are able to win over your heart anyway.”
“It is a true emotional rollercoaster, an absolutely fantastic read and a worthy new all time favorite to add to my shelf.”
After this fantastic first experience with her work, I’ve been looking forward to read her four previous titles while I wait for her newest book to be published. I Am Dust sounds absolutely fantastic. I mean, have you read the blurb? The ghost of an actress haunting a theatre, looking for her killer… The musical and onstage drama element… A possible curse… Murder, magic and a healthy dose of drama: the blurb and cover alone make me stare at the calendar and sigh when I realize just how much time we still have to wait before we get to read what sounds like another absolutely brilliant story. Add the fact that I’ve yet to see a Louise Beech review that isn’t glowing and filled to the brim with positive comments, and you can bet that I Am Dust has a place of honor on the list of my most anticipated 2020 releases.

I wholeheartedly agree with that! It’s no secret that I absolutely adore Louise and her novels, so I will waiting very impatiently along with Yvo for I Am Dust to arrive.
