Hi and welcome to Waiting on Wednesday! Originally hosted at Breaking the Spine, Waiting on Wednesday has now linked up with Can’t Wait Wednesday at Wishful Endings.
The name Thomas Enger has been mentioned a few times these last couple of weeks, I’m a huge fan of his Henning Juul series, I loved his standalone thriller Inborn and earlier this year I had a great time with Death Deserved. Blix and Ramm are the main characters in this brand-new series written by Enger in collaboration with Jørn Lier Horst, and I cannot wait to see what they get up to in the second instalment:

Isn’t that cover a thing of beauty?! I could stare at it for hours! HOWEVER, it’s meant to be read, not stared at, so let’s see what it’s all about:
Oslo, New Year’s Eve. The annual firework celebration is rocked by an explosion, and the city is put on terrorist alert.
Police officer Alexander Blix and blogger Emma Ramm are on the scene, and when a severely injured survivor is pulled from the icy harbour, Blix instantly recognises her as the mother of two-year-old Patricia Semplass, who was kidnapped on her way home from kindergarten ten years earlier … and never found.
Blix and Ramm join forces to investigate the unsolved case, as public interest heightens, the terror threat is raised, and it becomes clear that Patricia’s disappearance is not all that it seems…
Well! I don’t know about you but I CANNOT WAIT to read the living daylights outta that!
Smoke Screen will be out in eBook format on 18 December and in paperback on 18 February 2021, and the wait might possibly kill me so please tell me you’re right here waiting with me!

I only read Death Deserved this week. I can’t believe it took me so long to read 🤦🏻♀️😂 Really looking forward to Smoke Screen! x
Well your wait for Smoke Screen will be shorter, at least 😂
YESSS I can’t wait to read this one either! And not just to stare at the cover and (hopefully) once again hilarious acknowledgements. 😉 xx
GRABBY HANDS!!!!!!!
