Hello and welcome to my second edition of Stacking the Shelves!
Stacking the Shelves is originally hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality and is all about sharing your new book haul. A few weeks ago I talked about my #Fahrenbruary book haul, today, I’m sharing not just the book, but almost as important: the bookish goodies I’ve stacked my shelves with.
This Fairyloot box was my first book box ever. I stumbled over Fairyloot on Twitter, saw that the February theme was “Beast and Beauty” and so I had to have this box: Beauty and the Beast was my favourite Disney movie when I was little – to be fair, it still is (although I have to admit that The Little Mermaid has always been a strong contender too) – and to boot February is my birth month, no better time to gift myself some pressies! (Let’s just ignore the fact that one month later I ordered the March Fairyloot box too, OK)
Without further ado, here’s what I found in my Beast and Beauty box:
A beautiful Belle print An Enchanted Rose enamel pin A ceramic trinket dish A tumbler with a quote on one side… ….and the rose on the other. A letter from the author Two collectible Tarot Cards A signed bookplate Tea with Mrs Potts roll-on perfume A ginormous drop dead gorgeous wall tapestry!
I’m using the dish in my bathroom for hair pins and some earrings, love it! I’ve not yet used my tumbler, but I can totally see myself sipping from it in my garden on a warm summer’s day. I stuck the bookplate in the book. The pin and the print will get a spot somewhere in my book nook, but I haven’t found the ideal spot yet. I’m not a fan of the perfume so I’m not sure what I’ll do with that. Besides the book, what I’m deliriously happy with is the tapestry. This photo doesn’t do it justice at all, it’s bloody brilliant! Unfortunately, it’s also bloody large, which makes finding a nice spot to display it rather difficult. I want to put it somewhere in my book nook, so I can look up from the book I’m reading and admire it, but so far I’ve not been very successful in finding the ideal spot!
Besides the bookish goodies there was of course also a book in this book box and it’s the one I suspected and hoped it would be, so yay!

This is a gorgeous blue hardback with a silver ribbon bookmark and the dust jacket has a silver holographic spine!
So what do you think, would you be happy with this box? Or have you tried other boxes that you think I might like? Let me know below!
I would be so thrilled with that box ?
You totally would!!
What a fantastic box I’d be very happy with that and can see why you ordered the March one as well!
Isn’t it ? And I’m so happy it’s the book I’d hoped it would be too ?
Oh man, I an sooooooooooooooo jealous right now. Why haven’t I ordered this one? But, I’m happy for you. Enjoy!!! ?
I’m sooooo happy I stumbled over it on Twitter and in time to order too! You’ll have to come and admire the tapestry in real life!!
deal!!
The Fairyloot boxes always look so magical!
They do! And the unboxing is so much fun, I don’t usually like surprises but I do love this! Can’t wait for the March one, it has 2 books ?
Not quite my kind of box. I have seen one or two fabulous ones around, more in the crime genre, but I haven’t tried any because I’m ridiculously worried about the shipping costs.
Shipping costs are hell ? Which is why I got a single box and not a subscription. And the March box has two books, so totally worth the investment, right?! ? I might try a crime box… Do you know what they’re called?
Of course not. Can’t think of a single one at the moment ?
Why did I even ask?! ??
Got one! My Chronicle Book Box.
Looks lush!
I think I would be more than thrilled to have all those gorgeous goodies, are they expensive?
The box itself is not all that expensive at about 26 pounds if I’m not mistaken, considering it’s a hardback and a HB can cost as much as 20 pounds here so I thought that was very reasonable but obviously that doesn’t include shipping ? It’s cheaper if you get a subscription but well that doesn’t change the shipping costs of course, so I just got this box as a treat to myself. And then the March box will have not 1 but 2 books so I couldn’t pass that one up either ? So I’ll check the box every month and probably order a few more but not as a regular thing cuz, you know, money doesn’t grow on trees ?
Fab box! Looks brilliantly curated and that tapestry – just wow! Great post, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Bella ?
Gorgeous photos! I really liked Beauty And The Beast as well so these are great. And that hardback copy of A Curse So Dark And Lonely is gorgeous! I would never order a bookbox though because shipping to Argentina would be through the roof. xD
Thank you! Shipping from the UK to Belgium wasn’t cheap so I don’t even want to know what it would cost to Argentina ? Probably as much as the entire box!
I love the tumbler!!
You’re a little magpie falling for the sparkly stuff ? It’s pretty cool isn’t it ?
Are we like the same person???? The little mermaid is my favourite! I know all the words ? and Beauty and the beast is my strong contender! Love the beautiful fairy loot I will have to check this out! ❤️
? No we just both have impeccable tastes ? I don’t know ALL the words but I know all the songs (in Dutch that is) ? I can’t wait for my March box to arrive!
Nice box! I love the trinket dish, and it’s always great when it’s the book you were hoping for!
Isn’t it ? I got so lucky with my first box ever! I hope the March box will be just as great! There will be 2 books because it’s an anniversary edition. I have a theory on one of the books and I really hope I’m right again ?
