Stacking the Shelves: FairyLoot Unboxing – August box

Hi and welcome to the unboxing of the FairyLoot August box! The August theme is Let the games begin and once again it’s not my favourite box ever, but I am still pleased with my loot, especially the book itself. Let’s have a look!

The largest goodie is one that was announced: it’s a book sleeve and it’s inspired by An Ember in the Ashes. I was looking forward to this one, but I have to admit I much prefer the design of the book sleeve I received in the March box (ICYMI), so I’ll probably just keep using that one.

The smaller goodies are a lovely pin inspired by Aurora Rising and a Scythe magnet inspired by Neil Shusterman’s Scythe, which I happen to be listening to at the moment. Both of these are now in my book nook.

There’s also a beautiful hardcover notebook with glorious endpapers inspired by Stalking Jack the Ripper, a series that’s been on my TBR for forever and day.

And my two favourite goodies this month: a handmade Golden Egg Bath Bomb (can’t wait to use it, and I do hope Merpeople will come to sing out a clue to the second Triwizarding task, like the spoiler card indicates 😁) and a drop dead gorgeous metal bookmark inspired by Nevernight, love love LOVE it!

Saving the best for last:

A signed exclusive edition of Star Daughter by Shveta Thakrar, with shimmery sprayed edges, gorgeous endpapers and artwork on the reverse side of the dust jacket. I absolutely love the cover and the sprayed edges, and the description sounds great too: a contemporary fantasy that is a magical blend of Stardust by Neil Gaiman and Hindu mythology.

And this is the entire August FairyLoot box:

And that’s a wrap! Thanks for joining me today! Would you be happy with this box, is Star Daughter on your TBR? Let me know below!
