Hi and welcome to another monthly overview!
Another month (and three weeks off work!) bites the dust. How is it September already?! August was a rather busy month, even without work, but overall a great one, especially with the weather gods smiling down on us.
Bookishwise, August was not quite as prolific as I’d hoped it would be. Herding chickens and kittens (sometimes they feel like twenty instead of two!) will do that to a reader 😅 Look at them, all sleepy and cute. But awake they can be little demons 😂
All the gardening and quite a bit of socialising we did, didn’t help my stats either. I did enjoy most of what I read and I finally picked up the Spanish 700+ pages Stephen King novel that had been gathering dust on my physical TBR shelf for years, so there’s that. On the blog, as predicted, nothing but dust bunnies and tumbleweeds, I much enjoyed my time away from the laptop, so much so that I’m considering throwing in the blogging towel.

I know blogging can get getting depressing sometimes especially if you don’t get much back from it. I’ve thought about giving up loads of time over the years, but I’m still here plodding along. I’m so glad that All the Colours of the Dark was one of your favourites for August, Loving those kittens photos as usual, please keep them coming! 😀

I have a theory that all cats are little demons at that age… They look so adorable when they are asleep though! And I definitely hope you won’t be giving up on blogging altogether… It can become a chore at times and I’m definitely ready for a break myself, but maybe taking it slower would help? Such a fantastic bookish haul by the way! The Resort is a great read and I can’t wait to get a copy of Somewhere Beyond The Sea. I’ve read the first four chapters and they are perfection. ❤
I can’t remember my other cats being such demons, or maybe that’s because I had more energy myself at the time 😅

I enjoyed The Resort very much, it was part of last month’s destination thriller obsession 😄 I just reread The House in the Cerulean Sea (loved it just as much the second time around), I’m diving into Somewhere Beyond the Sea soonest!
