Hi and welcome to another monthly overview!
April flew by and honestly, nothing much happened 🤷🏼♀️ Some lovely weather, perfect for gardening and reading in the garden. And of course, commemorating Mel, our cat who died in April last year. I missed him all year long, but that day was extra sad. If you’ve ever had to say goodbye to a beloved furry friend, I’m sure you know what I mean.
Book-wise, April was an excellent month. I got BookBeat, Kindle Unlimited, Audible UK and Audible US deals. I’m all set for the coming months 😂 As always when I have KU, I’m extra motivated to read a lot (Frugal Frieda wants to get as much bang for her buck as she can 😂) and I’ve been steadily reading my way through the KU list I’d been adding to since my last trial period. I didn’t love all that I read, and two highly anticipated reads didn’t live up to my expectations at all, but all in all, April was a pretty good month in terms of reading enjoyment, too.
