#MusicMonday ft. Highway to Hell by AC/DC

Hi and welcome to #MusicMonday!

First of all, credit where credit is due: Music Monday is hosted by Drew a.k.a. @SarcasticEnigma over on The Tattooed Book Geek. Each week he presents a song that he really loves and this week I decided to join in with a song that’s been stuck in my head all weekend because of the ARC I was reading: The Passengers by John Marrs.

In case you haven’t heard about it yet: The Passengers is a (phenomenal I might add) thriller about eight self-drive cars that are hacked, and it’s a jury and the general public who have to decide which of the cars will crash and burn and which will be spared. The story is laced with little winks and nods to (social) media and it also includes a playlist, a “Create your own soundtrack to the hijacking” list for the public who are watching the events play out, and one of the suggested songs is Highway to Hell.

So, in honour of John Marrs, I give you AC/DC, enjoy!

Living easy, living free
Season ticket on a one-way ride
Asking nothing, leave me be
Taking everything in my stride
Don’t need reason, don’t need rhyme
Ain’t nothing I would rather do
Going down, party time
My friends are gonna be there too
I’m on the highway to hell
On the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I’m on the highway to hell

No stop signs, speed limit
Nobody’s gonna slow me down
Like a wheel, gonna spin it
Nobody’s gonna mess me around
Hey Satan, paid my dues
Playing in a rocking band
Hey mama, look at me
I’m on my way to the promised land, whoo!

I’m on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I’m on the highway to hell
Highway to hell

Don’t stop me
I’m on the highway to hell
On the highway to hell
I’m on the highway to hell
On the highway
Yeah, highway to hell
I’m on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
Highway to hell

And I’m going down
All the way
Whoa!
I’m on the highway to hell
