Hi and welcome to the Positivity Wave #3! (I can’t believe it’s the third one already!) Once again I’m joining Meggy on her journey to appreciate the little things in life, be sure to check out Meggy’s list for this week on Chocolate’n’Waffles.
These are this week’s silver linings:
💛 All the love and positivity brought on by my Positivity Wave post last week, and Danielle and Sarah creating an even bigger Wave 🥰
💛 Having a lovely barbecue with friends and sitting outside talking until midnight.
💛 Having to go back to work and dreading it, but having an okay first day back AND getting lots of compliments from colleagues on how great I looked (what can I say, sleeping in and lots of reading in the sun agrees with me 😁).
💛 Finalising and scheduling a bunch of reviews for next week and the week after because next week I won’t have my usual day off so I will be as dead as a doornail by the end of the week and I won’t have time or energy for blogging. But it eases my mind that the show will go on here.
💛 Not being as grumpy and hormonal this week as I’d thought I would be, yay me!
💛 Spotting a teeny tiny pumpkin on my pumpkin plant.

💛 Watching my round courgettes grow like crazy.

💛 Finding eggs from my lovely chicks 🐓🐓
💛 Doing all the ironing, which I really don’t like doing, especially not when there’s a gazillion shirts and dress shirts of the hubby’s to be ironed (no there’s never actually a gazillion, it just feels that way because I hate ironing them) BUT silver lining: ironing this week means no ironing next week AND I had a new audiobook to enjoy, The Girl With All The Gifts by M.R. Carey. So far, a really great book, and narrated by Finty Williams, whose narration of Louise Beech’s How To Be Brave I loved so I’m very happy to be reunited with her beautiful voice.
💛 Coming back from a reading slump by reading four brilliant books in quick succession:
💛 Gorgeous book post for a blog tour

💛 Being quoted on a Fahrenheit Press book 😍

How was your week, what made you happy? Tell me below, let’s make some positive waves, because misery might like company, but positivity LOVES company 😉💛
What a cute little pumpkin! I actually like ironing (at least from all the household chores it’s my favorite) and I routinely iron for 4 other people in exchange for other stuff … I even talked with my colleague about it (she doesn’t like it either) and she said that I should set up a business, she’d be a client :-). I’m happy your first day at work went fine, it’s never an easy one! Have a great weekend!
Thanks Inge ? Ironing is one of my least favourite chores, in fact the only thing worse is vacuuming, although now we have a cordless vacuum so it’s not so bad. If you do set up a business let me know ? Have a fabulous weekend, lovely ?
Great week, Kelly! Congrats on being quoted on a book cover??
Thanks Jonetta ?
Aw, those courgettes are super cute! Do you use the flowers as well? I saw some recipes that involved the flowery part, but i never tried it. To be fair never even saw them anywhere on sale 😀 But i’m curious.
I think there’s a difference between the male flowers and the female flowers but I don’t know which are which so I haven’t tried it yet ? I did eat courgette flowers once in Rome. They were caked in some kind of dough and then fried and they were divine!!
