Blog Tour Spotlight: #Venators by @DevriWalls @WriteReadsTours #TWRBlogTour

Hi and welcome to my stop on the blog tour for Venators! Thanks to Dave @ The Write Reads for the invite and for organising another massive tour and to Noly @ theartsyreader.com for designing the beautiful banner!

Today I have a spotlight feature for you, I’d love to introduce you to Devri Walls and this gorgeous urban fantasy called Venators, which is Devri’s sixth novel and the first one in her Magic Unleashed series.

This is what Venators is all about:

Welcome to Eon. An alternate dimension where fantasy and paranormal is reality, and humans sit at the bottom of the food chain. In this world of unadulterated power and ability, the innocent suffer greatly. The ruling council of Eon has selected two humans, born of the Venator bloodline, and brought them through the gate—wishing to manipulate their strength and special abilities for the council’s corrupt purposes. But, Grey and Rune have very different ideas. When their college dorm is infiltrated by creatures from another realm, Rune Jenkins, her twin brother Ryker, and old friend Grey Malteer are thrown into unexpected, twisted chaos. While Rune and Gray are able to escape, Ryker is kidnapped away to Eon, the alternate world from whence these dark beings came. With the help of a supernatural guide, Rune and Gray must now travel to Eon to save Ryker, and discover the illuminating truth about their ancestry. In this new world of fae, vampires, werewolves, and wizards, power is abundant and always in flux. Rune and Grey are being set up as pawns in a very dangerous game and must find their way through – and out of – Eon before it consumes them.

And here are some snippets:

Last but not least, meet Devri!

Devri Walls is a US and international bestselling author. Having released five novels to date, she specializes in all things fantasy and paranormal. She is best known for her uncanny worldbuilding skills and her intricate storylines, and her ability to present this all in an easy-to-digest voice. Now gearing up for her first national release, Devri is excited to introduce her sixth novel, book one in the Venators series. She loves to engage with her loyal following through social media and online sessions she organizes for her readers. Devri lives in Meridian, Idaho with her husband and two kids. When not writing she can be found teaching voice lessons, reading, cooking or binge watching whatever show catches her fancy.

And some review snippets from the past few days:

Noly says: I loved Devri’s writing style, all the different points of view, the interesting characters and unique worldbuilding. I loved how quickly I was sucked into the story and that I couldn’t put it down until the very end. I recommend it to all fantasy and sci-fi lovers and everyone who looks for a fast-paced and thrilling read with a unique setting! It ends on such a cliffhanger – I can’t wait to find out more!!

Dini says: The story is set in two places: modern day earth complete with frat parties and college life, and Eon, the alternate world where all supernaturals such as fae, elves, werewolves, vampires, witches/wizards, dragons and a range of other creatures, are real. Yep, we get all the creatures! We spend a very small amount of time on earth before crossing over to Eon, although it took a while before this world’s name was mentioned (our characters were there for several chapters before the name ‘Eon’ came up). Eon seems like a really shady and scary world that’s full of unruly blood thirsty creatures. It’s the kind of world that would very likely kill me within the first five minutes of setting foot on it LOL but death aside, it does sound like an interesting world!

Devyani says: I could relate to Grey’s persona so much- full of secrecy and soberness. Grey Malteer is bullied in college. Because of his calm and reticent demeanor and seemingly unique choice of clothing and also his interest toward supernatural things, he is often mocked by his college mates, especially Ryke, Rune Jenkins’ twin brother, who has gone way too far harassing Grey. Grey is a hidden ball of wonders.

El says: With the fast plot and the engaging characters this book is a really quick and fun read, I was honestly surprised how quickly I finished it. And I would have started the sequel immediately if I had it in my hands that moment.

Thanks for joining me today! Get Venators on Amazon now, it’s so cheap it should be illegal 😄
