And now, the end is near, and so I face the final day of #Orentober…

Hi and welcome to the final day of #Orentober!

As I said at the start, this year’s #Orentober has been a light version. I had hoped to be able to squeeze in a few more reviews, but customs has been holding incoming proofs hostage since 21 September, and then life (read: work) got in the way, so I’m a bit sad I couldn’t do more. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be October to have an Orenda Books party, and I’ll be back next month, and all the months after that, with more Orenda recommendations 😍

Truth be told, the last couple of years have kicked my ass, I’ve been such an anxious bean so often and I honestly don’t know how I would have survived without books to take my mind off things, and without you to talk to about books. I’m so grateful I got to celebrate my favourite indie publisher once more and massive thanks to you for sharing the Orenda love, for picking up an Orenda book, for sharing posts or tweets, for commenting, you are truly awesome.

Let’s have a look at my #Orentober stats:

I kicked off the month with Deity on Audible. I’m a huge fan of the Six Stories series in any format, but they absolutely rock as audiobooks! And so I just had to listen to Deity, even though I’d already read it in paperback. Definitely my favourite listen of the month.
I also caught up with the Varg Veum series so far. My first read of the month was Fallen Angels and later on I also listened to Wolves at the Door. If customs would be so kind as to release the proofs it’s been holding, I could continue this series with Bitter Flowers.

I shared some new reviews:
The Rabbit Factor, Antti Tuomainen
The Quiet People, Paul Cleave
Cold as Hell, Lilja Sigurðardóttir
Black Reed Bay, Rod Reynolds
Fallen Angels, Gunnar Staalesen

I also introduced #ScandiSaturday, launched an Orentober bingo, shared an Orentober word search puzzle, did a cover reveal and talked about the Dark Iceland series by Ragnar Jónasson. There were also First Lines Fridays (1234) and Tagline Tuesdays (123)

Thanks for joining me on this last day of #Orentober, and thanks again for all your love this month, I’m immensely grateful 💜
