Hi and welcome to my review of Trouble in the Alps!

Trouble in the Alps is the sixth book in the Miss Ashford Investigates series, and it was an absolute joy to be back in Atalanta’s company. If you haven’t read the previous books, I’m sure you’ll be fine jumping in here. If you like your Golden Age mysteries with a spot of travel, though, you should definitely add this entire series to your TBR.

Atalanta, who came from rather modest means, has become an heiress, not only inheriting her grandfather’s fortunes but also his sleuthing business. Trouble in the Alps finds her in the Swiss Alps, desperately trying to find Raoul, who has been her love interest for a few books now and who had a serious accident. Naturally, she doesn’t just find Raoul, she finds quite a bit of trouble too.

I always look forward to the next Atalanta Ashford mystery because I know I always have such a good time with it, and I do love me some bookish travel, and Trouble in the Alps certainly lived up to my expectations. The mysteries kept multiplying and they all kept me guessing (although one of my more outlandish theories was proven right in the end) and I loved the snowy mountain setting.

Trouble in the Alps is a fun, well-rounded murder mystery and I would happily recommend it to fans of cosy murder mysteries. I’m already looking forward to next year, when I’ll be joining Atalanta in Italy! Amalfi coast, here we come!
